… is to collectively promote and market the professional work of member artists.
Our Products
Our products are all handcrafted in Hawaii and are included in one of three categories:
- Fine arts (i.e. original paintings and drawings, limited prints, one of a kind wall hangings)
- Commercial art (i.e. unlimited prints, cards, most pulp art items)
- Crafts (i.e. other woven items, lei items, souvenirs, model canoe)
For the Hawai’i Artists Cooperative, it is not just about the product; it is about the integration of culture into the creative process. The products that our artists produce are founded in their individual cultural heritages and up bringing. Our artists utilize their innate storytelling abilities and communicate the stories of their ancestors, their experiences in this life, and their vision for the future through their artwork.
Who are we?
We are artists. Some of whom are Native Hawaiian. Some of whom are not. Some of whom have disabilities. Some of whom do not. We are all about self expression, independence, inclusion, and intrinsic value.
